@heinrich5991 my point is that ranks and points are hard to maintain. the choices were made in the past and if you really want to stick to a hard to maintain system, you should not really blame it on the players who do stuff that doesn't break any rules. for kenzo it's just fun to break the "rules" (not official rules). there was no evil intent in those actions. This is an extremely naive view of the things that need to be done every time someone cheats a map. Just fixing the issue is indeed the simplest part

None of the Devs know how cool it is to find a cheat. I would never waste the opportunity by just telling them.

Problem is it can take some time for us to notice, during that time people start making saves which are extremely annoying to get demos out of with teehistorian

but just wanna know why delete message

i thought all saves get wiped on every change honestly

One small example was the deepfly setting that was broken on the dummy map released a month or so ago. It took almost 6 hours of my time, murpi had to be around too, a couple of mods also had to pitch in watching demos

@murpi you missed the point that there was an (inofficial) jao rule, that maps will only get fixxed if somebody actually does the cheat. so the only way of getting maps fixxed seemed to be actually cheating them. it's also more save to immedietly fix if you know it's cheatable, because otherwise players could do a cheat run and pretend they were speedrunning for a weird 1# (and speedrun points). there was no change in rules announced so don't blame it on that cool chilean guy.
