I even have an anectodal evidence for this one. Look at the entire country of turkey. Religious people were absolutely crushed after the formation of the republic. Every 20-30 years we got religious rebellions only to be crushed by the military. 100 years later and people are back to discussing when we are getting shariah law. If 100 years didn't do it, I don't get how we expect to make any change in our lifetimes with this approach
