first u need to find your cl_mouse_max_distance and inp_mousesense . then type in bind (insert button) "+toggle cl_mouse_max_distance 2 (insert mosue max distance u got ) ; +toggle inp_mousesense 1 (insert mousesense)" so for example you could write; bind x "+toggle cl_mouse_max_distance 2 350; +toggle inp_mousesense 1 158"(edited)
whats the best way to map? because to do this I first placed entities and then visuals, also cant I copy all the layers or some layers at once? whats the point og having multiple layers if Im just gonna the game first and visuals next?
@AKayra In my opinion its best to first map entities because it is faster to map this way if you have todo alot of changes so you don't have to automap after every step
and if you keep the visuals out of the map file the people who you testing with gonna be grateful that they don't have todo download a map with like say 600kib after some tiny gameplay change everytime
idk i just saw deen saying somewhere to type 1 for 1* maps

I clicked around until I understood how to place anything xD

But one thing I didnt understand so far is the hook through, it places a hook through entity and unhook at same tile, okay but in maps, hookthroughs are extended to sides and stuff

This one seems to work well but I remember the ones I saw at maps sometimes had weird stuff going on
so if you wanna have custom entities i would say there is more todo than just copy a simple tileset because its unlikely it the postions would match the entities so there is that you can ask @louis how todo that i think he already did that once
for your color problem no idea sorry
I have no problems with game.png but they say its easier to aim with the gun? I dont look at the gun when Im aiming? Am I affected by it and I dont know?

If you stand on an edge and aim straight down, when you aim slightly left/right there's a point where the gun image mirrors itself, that can be useful for doing edge hooks on high edges like 5/6 tiles, since u basically aim straight down for those. Also the kind of edge where u have them in a corner and u just jump back and rehook, can kinda line up ur gun with ur hook, since ur hook is already the correct angle for the edge. Imo the mid air edges are more about timing than aim but idk, it could help you maybe(edited)
I haven't done mid air edge hooks but when I need to hook dummy after getting speed I usually keep the mouse still and time click I agree, but for those high edges, I mean the mirroring isn't about the gun so it's more subconscious if anything

The thing that I notice with guns effect to aim is quickly finding cursor/ noticing if something is way off

Gores people can have good feeling of angle with the visuals of gun too
