Just visibly stop when the moderator asks you to, if they continue to try and block you and you're clearly not trying to block, then they'll be banned, not you.

You can hook the ground or try and move away from their hooks, it's very easy to quickly make a decision in that case, it's only hard if the 2 people are fighting each other.

That’s just a bad ideology. While I do agree that you as moderators have to follow the rules and enforce them, there is common sense and situation dependency. Im sure anyone that faces a situation of losing a long run from a troll will try to save themselves. It’s just basic self defense.

A moderator will ask both parties to stop, in most cases, you would be able to stop trying to defend yourself and let the moderator ban the other person that isn't stopping.

Of course I am not talking about when the moderator is in the server, as most of the times the troll wouldn’t do that with the mod in

That would apply to just blocking at the start of the run, mid run I don’t think by the time a mod joins both parties will still be fighting, either the entire team dies while waiting, or by your description the blocker gets knocked and the person to blame for it gets banned instead

My approach to that situation is to force the alive tee to get everyone out and continue the race, if they refuse, they get banned. I'd also explain to the person that I'm a moderator and that I'd watch the other tee closely. I'd then watch the person they accused of blocking for the remainder of the map and ban them instantly if they did anything that was obviously blocking.

How often does the alive tee comply?

The above approach doesn't really work with 2 tees that get into a fight, but it works fairly well if there's 4+ tees, 3 tees is a bit sketchy.

The only problem I have with your approach is the fact that the innocent is at a risk of getting banned, I talk about a situation with more than 2 tees. End of the run and one guy decides to block everyone. He got already some people and the frozen people report on discord. Meanwhile he is still running loose - all I say is at that situation you should have the right to block the blocker and have no consequence until the mod joins. By the time a mod joins you should still be able to defend yourself until the blocker stops

Feel free to report moderators to admins if they're doing that, unless they're doing it to people that are at key locations for blocking, such as: The first tunnel in Multeasymap

It should be situation dependent, and mods need to first figure out what happens in the server, ask both parties to stop, and resolve by force if needed

Sometimes you have to hook the person back to prevent them from killing you, usually on maps with no hookables. So it's entirely understandable for you to be hooking them and appear to be blocking when we first join... But you can stop when told and it'll be fairly obvious to us moderators who should be banned in this situation with how the tees react. I'll mention this in the moderator channel and hopefully some of them take notes and improve.

No way for a mod watching somebody blocking to know the chain of events that led to it. Would be too easy for the original blocker to just say "no I'm blocking them back in self defense". We give out warnings before bans anyway, unless you're a repeat blocker. Seen plenty of trolls just reporting to get somebody banned, can't just believe what people say all the time
