Depends on your priorities. macOS' target auidience has always been tech-illiterate people. For them read only system is actually much much safer

Yeah well, I've always had osx around in some capacity since 2006ish or so and it just seems like with each new release they make the system less accessible somehow. Just disappointing. Gonna have to get rid of it entirely soon and figure out some kinda linux/windows VM situation. Or just learn how to use WSL properly.
