@Larinjo you can select different servers in the server browser, many will be running different maps already

if you want to play a specific map with a group of friends, you can join an empty server where you have a good ping and with Escape -> Vote for that map

tbh ddnet should have another way to vote for maps. maybe with thumbnails like on ddnwt.tw. was playing a bit with a beginner some days ago and that really shows u how hard it is to get into how ddnet works
