It does, because it makes it clear to other players that it isn't tolerated. You're also telling me to ignore people like yourself, but I think a more public approach is most likely better. Making a scene and questioning moderators is frowned upon as well.

I'm mostly just a discord moderator to deal with extreme situations, but I do help in situations like this, I don't think my role should be taken as seriously as you're taking it. This is a small niche game, and I'm not being paid for it.

You're right though, I guess... I should take it mildly more serious. The person you're half defending has evaded a discord mute in the past, he probably should've been banned already.

Eh possibly, but players drive your community. When you took the role of being a mod you automatically knew you would not be paid. That should not be whats driving your decisions and behaviour. Can still be sincere to players irrespective of how they are to you - two wrongs dont make a right. (edited)
