@natali the reason for skins to disappear is, that these skins are downloaded at runtime to save RAM and startup time(and obv, to allow alot more skins in total), so they wont appear in the skin selection until someone uses them or you downloaded that skin and put it into the permanent skin directory (edited)
thanks! do you mind explain a bit more in detail how this works?
for example: i join a server and some person on there is using a skin that i do not have permanently stored. so the game pulls it from the database, the skin lands in cache and after i close the game its gone in my game?
my problem is that i was using a specific skin for a few days and then it was suddenly gone. now its also gone on the ddnet website and i cant find it anywhere.
also: why do skins get added to the database only to get removed shortly after? its a bit confusing

Just got a widescreen monitor, noticed teeworlds not really "supporting" it. I see less of the map vertically and my crosshair goes off screen up and down. Apparently zoom does not affect your crosshair. Any known fix?

you can to change your cl_mouse_max_distance but i dont think that it will help that much because it affects both horizontal and vertical distance from tee
