@BABA YAGA if you get some streamers to play it would be cool, yes. that's how Chile and Brazil communities started and also why GER community was large initially
either way people cling to these points like it's a level in mmorpg, the thing is somone with 12 points might play way better than somone with 8k
@Overlord u half right someone with 12 real points and not a new name can't and won't ever play better then someone with 8k. But someone with a few hundred can beat easly the chillean dude who got 8k points in 5 or 6 years
@Mikey. what if they're first introduced to an unfailable moderate map like p panic or yun gu, and only grind on that huh, never finish because they get bored and go on lumine, then on barrne which is already brutal

@Overlord a lot of ifs. I have seen guys with thousands and thousands of hours in cs:go and they are still playing like shit. Silver players. And i have seen a lot of players that don't have prior experince with cs 1.6 or any shooters and after just a few hours they are above average. Like any game it depends on the players. Nor Hours, Nor Time spent can tell the skill of a player.
@Mikey. Well I guess it's called talent, but even talent has a cap on itself, that's why if there's somone talented and dedicated U usually hear about them, but then people dont notice hard work anymore, they just pin it all to the talent, also shooter game is not a well example imo, because U never know how bad are the enemies or how good
23:34
also if U guys didnt read my trump speech its now too late as, twitter is about to delete it, because they're against freedom of speech
@Overlord i think cs:go a shooter with MMR Matchmatcking is a good example. I played against silvers and i played against globals. They all feels the same. If they fit there they are consistently good or bad
23:36
People who are currently climbing are an outliers, like guys who just finished their 10 matches
@Mikey. well as a former cs 1.6 and cs:go player, there are good and bad days, but overall people do have a learning curve and growth, so it's not impossible for somone from silver to rise up to global (tho as i have seen countless examples in LoL, very rare)
23:37
@Mikey. also even if people get better, they can simply have bad luck with teammates due to their previously low MMR
also U could be great player both skill and point wise, if U break Ur hand then U cant even prove U were this good anymore. (even after taking the cast and letting hand regenerate)
23:39
that's probably why i think people cling to points / map finishes so much, tho i can understand speedrunners it's sometimes days of work
@Overlord some people don't have to have an injury to lose skill. One of my best friend was a consistent global player but after 1 year of not playing he can't even pass the silver ranks (And if he wins he is carried by his team) XD
@Mikey. well now the question is, did he just get old and his APM fell, or it was less about talent more about dedication and passion in the first place, humans are weird, i personally cant do things i could few years ago
