there is a really broken editor undo functionality, I don't recommend using it since it can cause problems than it solves. But if you really want to, f1, cl_editorundo 1 and then you can undo things in editor with the Undo button at bottom,.

@deen undo always worked as expected for me. whats the worst that could happen? (edited)

it could corrupt your map, you save it, and only notice days later and have no backups
