What DDmax means? How hard are these maps or what even is it?

DDmax used to be a server network like DDnet but it went offline so we took all the maps that were uploaded in that time. most of them also follow a similar pattern.

What DDmax means? How hard are these maps or what even is it?

@legser4 it's like an a bit older collection of maps of all difficulties. More stars under the mapname means the map is harder. You can join a ddmax server or vote this servertype first, then vote Random map giving "1" as a reason to vote only 1-star maps (easiest). Note that the maps can be smaller and tighter because they were designed for max 16-player server, while DDNet supports 64p. If there are too many people and you feel you don't need their help, you and your friends can type /team <number 1-63> in chat and then /lock the team

as for the new maps u can open the vote menu when u press escape and vote for a new map (if the server has a lot of players it will likely not pass since people are playing the map)

if u want to play ur own map or load different maps on local server its quite a bit more complicated

@Tricia_Takanawa all available maps are hosted on our servers, just join a server, vote Novice or Solo type of server and Vote Random Map, giving "1" as a reason to vote the easiest maps
