They all cater to a small bunch, have the worlds shittiest business plan. The only way they survive is to grow their userbase MASSIVELY. They keep operating at a loss for the initial investors, up until a large fish comes along and covers their losses, acquires their userbase and optimizes the application for profits

I'd guess amazon could be interested in discord. They have the infrastructure needed to host it, it's a market they don't have a leg in and they'd instantly get the largest platform on the market, which would integrate with their streaming platform rather well
