@Learath2 the bug was really dumb 😄
Avatar
what was it?
Avatar
at least I think I have it
Avatar
besides even if it wasn't crashing i couldn't get it to deploy, was it crashing as soon as it starts?
Avatar
init was in OnConsoleInit instead of OnInit
Avatar
.s/deploy/load the .so
Avatar
wdym?
Avatar
well the binary was linked to the .so, but when i gave it a restart antibot loaded didn't show up in the logs
Avatar
that can't happen™
00:08
either it shouldn't start or the antibot must be there
00:08
or you execute the wrong binary, I dunno
Avatar
idk, it'd be very very very nice if you could check on that after patching the mapchange thing
00:09
actuall if the mapchange bug was in there, the antibot should also have been loading, maybe you can grep the logs for antibot again
Avatar
the logs were constantly being overridden due to the restarts

This would drop support building DDNet with CMake from the following repositories: Distro | Released | Full support | Maintenance support until -------------+----------+--------------+-------------------------- Ubuntu 14.04 | 2014 | over | 2022-04 CentOS 6 | 2011 | over | 2020-11-30 CentOS 7 | 2014 | 2020-08-06 | 2024-06-30 Users of those distros would need to download a CMake version from outside their package managers.

@heinrich5991 Is there no workaround for older cmakes?
Avatar
do we need one?
10:22
I didn't try to find one that hard
Avatar
Is 3.8 old enough to be decently common?
Avatar
debian oldstable has 3.7
Avatar
Ah, if even debian has caught up, I think it's fine
Avatar
we run debian stable, it's only needed in the antibot configuration and I tell the user what flag to pass in
Avatar
I was kinda thinking debian had cmake 2.8 still
Avatar
debian oldoldstable has 3.0
Avatar
oh wait, you said oldstable has 3.7 that's not enough
Avatar
yes
Avatar
I guess only the antibot flag requiring 3.8 is a good compromise
