How is the "ping" command in f1 different from the ping displayed on the board ?

one is the ping of your connexion, in the tab board its the ping of the connexion to the server i think or something like this

@Neben the one on the scoreboard is the one server reports, I don't know how often we calculate it. The ping command sends an actual message to the server and it reports the time it took for the server to respond with PONG

They should be fairly close from what I can see, the latency on the server is calculated a little differently though. We just use the time between the last acknowledged snapshot and the current time, it is possibly a little lower then the actual latency

the thing that causes lags is usually not ping, but packet loss IIRC
