no, seriously. I get annoyed by super-low-contrast map designs instead which you can only play at 100% brightness with a modern screen

I thought he is using the sun as a metaphor for ugly maps burning his eye not actual brightness. And you sound like a troll who would also recommend radiation therapy when the design gives eye cancer.

I'm not a troll. I set my software to run in full constrast, #fff on #000 and just reduce the screen brightness until it's easy on the eyes. MInimizes power consumption.

@deen really? I kinda prefer a very dark tone of grey nowadays, full contrast while easier to read is tough on the eyes, atleast for me

full contrast isn't the easiest to read (I assume you mean white text on black background and vice versa)

@Learath2 grey-on-grey with 100% brightness has the same contrast as white-on-black with lower brightness

This is true, but I also tint the grey a little bit (I guess that makes it not grey anymore) and the text I keep white, so it's white on grey

the only thing that my eyes didnt get burned is that my pc is connected to my television and my television has a low warm contrast option in it (edited)

@Cellegen | HU there are programs that can white balance your entire screen, make it warmer or colder

yeah for those who cant afford a proper tv
