If one wanted to get into programming, would Teeworlds-modding be a bad place to start? I tried downloading the sourcefiles, but this shizz is written in more than one language, wtf is going on xD How does that even work?

I tried many times before. Codecademy, codecamp or whatever they're all called. But i am always super productive for 1-2 hours and then i never touch it again

I feel like i need a real project to keep a long run goal, and my goal is to be able to modify ddnet/teeworlds. But since you say it's so complicated maybe i should start somewhere else :/

@Deleted User teeworlds code is really hard to get into, but if that's what keeps your attention you can give it a try, and when you are more comfortable spending time learning you can start reading a book
