When you guys have an issue it's a good idea to actually describe it in detail, by reading that i can't even understand like i don't think that dude is talking about compiling ddnet, he did not gave any details, there are messages that let us think that he was trying to run windows binaries, he can't give a proper output... It's really hard to help people with so many contradictory statements, the main issue is that not enough details are provided when asking the question, if i tell you "when i click cancel my computer doesn't want to" you can't help me because you don't know where i clicked, that's kinda the same issue here

to be clear i understand that most people don't have any idea about what can cause such issue, maybe they're young too or something, other people are here to help and can give the procedure to get those details, but without those it's hard to get somewhere

Depends how you like it. Somewhere it changed while making the client better. Since some complains they made it optional but most stayed with the new sensitivity. Dunno if this fixes your problem tho?
