U just need to replace the content of the men_free and men_alloc with free and alloc. They should be thread safe, if not for some reason, you need to switch to c11 . because there they are guaranteed

mem_alloc / mem_alloc_debug, mem_free are not thread safe · Issue...
Used in the graphics backend, used when sound is loaded(threaded), and dunno if some workers use it too. 95% of all start / close crashes.
