:c not my code, I do not know, what the heck's going on :c
Avatar
[quakenet] <heinrich5991> so pNewItem->m_pNext has a wrong value
12:56
[quakenet] <heinrich5991> sounds like an out-of-bounds write overwriting that value or m_pNext being uninitalized?
12:57
[quakenet] <heinrich5991> I especially liked msvc's debugger
12:57
[quakenet] <heinrich5991> it was nice to use

[quakenet] <heinrich5991> jxsl13: what do you mean?
Avatar
you can look at the code 😮
13:13
if it helps
Avatar
[quakenet] <heinrich5991> nah, don't want to, right now :/
13:19
[quakenet] <heinrich5991> an out-of-bounds write might also come from your code, and cause problems in the CRingBuffer class
Avatar
[quakenet] <heinrich5991> eeeee: where's your patched vanilla?
Avatar
I'm sure you already know. It seems like Teerace servers are not affected by this. I feel that there can be a few ways to cause this. a) Slow the download speed from the client side b) Delay ha...
Avatar
[quakenet] <heinrich5991> ah, on the ddnet fork
