The other DDNet rule adds these round corners which messes up the gametiles function. So i decided to publish my own rule im happily using since years especially for my gores maps. But since its also usefull for other gametypes even non ddrace ones i called it the "Chiller" rule^^ I couldn't find a better name for the rule idk if someone has a problem with it.

I tried both DDNet 11.2 and teeworlds 0.6.4.While pressing a key,the mouse seems to be frozen(can't move). And if i don't hold any key,the mouse won't go wrong. It seems that this bug will only appears on Linux platform(I'm using Ubuntu 18),On windows everything is OK. Could you please find out what's wrong with the client and fix it?Thank you. 😄

@jao is there anything that an automated script might help map testing with?
20:53
I just read that embedded standard images are a problem, maybe we could autodetect those?
20:55
I can easily detect them myself, that's not the issue
Avatar
okay, I was thinking there might be a small check list that a script could cover, helping mappers to fix the map (edited)
Avatar
oh that oyu mean
20:57
missunderstood
20:57
ye that is good
20:57
well they are already detected by the client, mappers just don't realize what the detection means I guess
20:57
or they are too lazy to check
Avatar
oh, even the client knows it
20:58
^^
Avatar
maybe you could make the client automatically embed images, so that it's not possible to select between external or standard images
20:59
or is there any use for not embedding external images?
Avatar
well, just generality of the editor, I guess
21:00
mh
21:03
@jao what do you mean by "it is detected by the client"?
21:03
do you see it in the editor?
Avatar
I think they are colored differently
Avatar
Previously, when you added an image to the map in the editor, it would start off as embedded, i.e. included in the map file. This does not make sense for vanilla images as every client has those. That's why we now only mark non-vanilla images as external by default.
