i didnt paint it like you see it. i smashed it together ingame. got some china quads and put the on top of some hills

ah the screenshot is zoomed out a lot so its really hard to see anything

I guess you can take any mapres you want if you're mapping for yourself but if you want to release a map you should ask original mapper

go ask magnus if you can use grass_main xD

that comes with tw so it means by default everyone is allowed to use it

what if the mapres has no credits?

I guess it doesnt matter if you take some old mapres from some long gone mapper or mapres that everyone already stole a million times

wouldnt that lead to nobody wanting to start "stealing"? so eventually you have to make 10 new fresh original mapres for a map you want to look moderatly nice?

just ask pipou

you can always ask the original creator instead of stealing or use mapres someone posted on forum for everybody to use

TW is an open source game and if you upload maps with your own tilesets then you make them open source. And then some people are so egoistic and stubborn that they are offended when somebody uses their tilesets. Pro tip: Take it as a complement if your tilesets are liked and used. If you don't: Leave the community with your stupidity alone and uninstall TW... thx

the year is 2020, a mapper has recently tried to upload a map on ddnet. sadly the map contained hookable tiles, which were used in maps before. this map couldnt be released

of course not, but ddnet can choose to decline your map/force you to delete stolen mapres
