@Ryozuki unfortunately our hosters mostly don't have ipv6
08:35
which is becoming a bigger and bigger problem, since many players don't get a public ipv4 address anymore
08:36
so latency and spikes will be more common for ipv6 only players, since they get tunneled through some 6to4 tunnel
08:36
I'll ask our ddnet.tw/GER hoster about that

This isn't something that we are planning to add support for any time son I'm afraid, the vast majority of the software
we use/host just doesn't support it yet.

No like it had been some time to update to it xd

thats because "The two protocols are not designed to be interoperable, complicating the transition to IPv6. "

yoyo does someone know a way to use a animated gif as background for terminal? c: would be cool for macOS but linux or winodws would be ok too

This guy's writeup on the history of networking is also pretty nice

@Deleted User there's a list, but I don't have it in my head.

So here's what I really hate about IPv6: 16-byte (32 hex digit) addresses are impossible to memorize. Worse, auto-renumbering of networks, facilitated by IPv6, mean that anything I memorize today might be totally different tomorrow. who memorizes ips nowadays? no one that i know, thats what domains are there for

Maybe when you are network enginer and you have to compute ip and mask to set up a network in a big company
