In my opinion it is, and I wont change it. At the beginning there was only teewars so basically only vanilla. In the future there came different mods of course like ictf, kogbuild and of course ddrace. But ddnet put a lot effort in this modification ddrace and this is not even close to the first version of teeworlds. So thats why I think its a different game.
